Privacy Policy

Kit Checker is built to work entirely offline. This policy explains, plainly, what that means for your data — because the short version is: there isn't any to talk about.

Effective 24 July 2026 · Applies to the Kit Checker iOS app

Summary

Kit Checker does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, usage data, or analytics. There are no accounts to create, no servers the app talks to, and no third-party tracking of any kind built into the app. Everything you enter into Kit Checker — your kit hierarchy, item details, check records, and schedules — is stored only on your device.

If you take nothing else from this page: Kit Checker has no way to see your data, because it never asks the app to send it anywhere.

Data we collect

None. Specifically, Kit Checker does not collect:

  • Account or identity data. There's no sign-up, login, or user profile of any kind.
  • Usage analytics. We don't track how you use the app, which screens you open, or how often you use it.
  • Crash or diagnostic telemetry. The app does not automatically report crashes, performance data, or device information to us.
  • Location data. Kit Checker does not access or record your location.
  • Advertising identifiers. The app contains no advertising or ad-tracking frameworks.

Where your data lives

The kit hierarchy you build, the items within it, and every check record you create are stored locally in the app's on-device database. None of it is uploaded to us, because Kit Checker has no backend server to upload it to.

If your device uses iCloud backup and you have it enabled for this app, your data may be included in your personal iCloud backup as part of Apple's standard device backup system. That backup is controlled by you through your Apple ID and iOS settings, not by us, and Kit Checker does not initiate or manage it directly.

Sharing & exports

Kit Checker will only share data off your device when you explicitly choose to do so — for example, if you export a check record or your kit structure to send to someone else, or to save a copy through iOS's standard share sheet. We have no visibility into what you do with an export once it leaves the app, and no copy of it passes through us.

Third parties

Kit Checker does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software development kits (SDKs). No data from this app is shared with, sold to, or processed by any third party, because none is collected in the first place.

Children's privacy

Kit Checker is intended for use by prehospital and emergency care practitioners and is not directed at children. As the app collects no personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children either.

Your rights

Because Kit Checker stores data only on your device, you are already in full control of it. You can view, edit, export, or permanently delete your kit hierarchy and check records at any time from within the app, or remove all of it at once by deleting the app itself. There is no account to close and no server-held copy for us to delete on your behalf, as none exists.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of Kit Checker introduces an optional feature that involves data leaving your device — this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
